How to Prepare Mindful Cacao – Mindful Cacao

1. What’s the difference between ceremonial cacao, raw cacao and cocoa?
   When we talk about raw cacao, we’re referring to the unprocessed version of the cacao beans. Beans are picked, fermented and then sun-dried.
   Ceremonial Cacao has all of raw cacao’s features, with some important additions, including: a traceable origin, it’s usually cultivated in small batches on sustainable farms, and made with intention which means the plant, land and the farmers are treated with love and respect. Ceremonial Cacao is also often blessed.
   Cocoa is highly processed, beans are tempered and conched and refined sugar and other additives are included, meaning most of the cacao beans nutrients are stripped out.
2. Is ceremonial cacao suitable for everyone?
   While Ceremonial Cacao it is generally considered safe for most people, if you are pregnant, on low blood pressure medication, undergoing chemotherapy treatment, taking antidepressants or have underlying health problems, we recommend you speak to a health professional before consuming cacao.
3. When is the best time to consume my cacao?
   Most times are good, however as cacao does contain some caffeine, we would not recommend consuming it after 4pm, as it may affect your sleep.
